About the project
The aim of the project is to develop innovative, AI-based design software for wrist and forearm orthoses that automatically generates custom-fitted orthoses from 3D-scanned models of the forearm and hand.
Through a web interface and a mobile app, the system detects anatomical landmarks, lets users fine-tune the digital models, and prepares the finalised orthosis for 3D printing.
The development speeds up the design process, reduces costs and ensures a more accurate fit, while supporting the work of orthopaedic professionals. The result is a fully digital, efficient and user-friendly orthotics solution that takes the manufacturing of custom medical devices to a new level.
The project was implemented with the support of the European Union and co-financed by the Hungarian State.
